How bad must your life be or how much must you believe in something for you to kill yourself and take others with you? I simply don’t know. Suicide bombing used to be a last resort for an oppressed people. Now it has almost got something glamorous about it. We tend to associate suicide bombings with Palestina, Iraq, Afghanistan, but it also goes on in Sri Lanka where the local Tamil Tigers are fighting the Indian government for independence. Last weekend a video emerged of a female Tamil Tiger blowing herself up in a busy government office. The bomb was hidding in her bra.
